Tamer Oyguç, 1966 yılında Malatya’da dünyaya geldi. 1983 yılında basketbola Eczacıbaşı yıldız takımında başladı. 21 yaşında Eczacıbaşı’nın kaptanlığını üstlendi. 1988 ve 1989 sezonlarında Türkiye'nin en genç takımı ile iki sene üst üste şampiyonluk yaşadı.
1989 senesinde Efes Pilsen’e transfer oldu. 9 sene Efes Pilsen forması giyen Tamer Oyguç, Efes Pilsen’de oynamış olduğu süre zarfında 5 Türkiye Şampiyonluğu, 4 Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası, 5 Türkiye Kupası Şampiyonluğu, 1 Avrupa Saporta Kupası Finali yaşadı.
Kulüpler bazında Türkiye'nin ilk Avrupa Kupası olan Koraç kupası kazanıldığında takımın kaptanıydı.1988 sezonunda Beşiktaş’a transfer olan Oyguç, sezon ortasında Levent Topsakal’la takas olarak sezonu Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübünde tamamlamıştır.
1999 senesinde vatani görevini yapmak üzere askere giden Oyguç
Karagücü takımı ile 2. Lig şampiyonluğu almış ve Lübnan' da düzenlenen Askeri Olimpiyatlarda Dünya 4.sü olmuştur. Askerlik görevini tamamladıktan sonra 2000 sezonunda Beşiktaş 2001 ve 2002 yıllarında Galatasaray’da oynayıp sezon sonunda basketbolu bırakarak gene bu kulüpte menajerlik görevini sürdürmüştür.
Basketbol yaşantısı boyunca yıldız, genç ve A milli takımlarda kaptanlık görevini sürdürerek askeri milli takım da dahil olmak üzere 223 kere milli formayı üzerinde taşımıştır.
2007 yılında Efes Pilsen' e antrenör olarak dönüp bu kulüpte sırasıyla küçük takım, genç takım ve Efes Pilsen’in pilot takımı Pertevniyal ile 2. Ligde antrenör olarak görev yapmıştır. Daha sonra idari menajer olarak altyapılar sorumlusu olmuştur.
Tamer Oyguc was born in Malatya in 1966. He started playing basketball in the young team of Eczacibasi in 1983. He got the captaincy of Eczacibasi at the age of 21. In the seasons of 1988 and 1989, he experienced the championship for two consecutive years with the youngest team in Turkey.
He transferred to Efes Pilsen in 1989. Tamer Oyguc, who played for Efes Pilsen for 9 years, experienced 5 Turkish Championships, 4 Presidency Cups, 5 Turkish Cup Championships, 1 European Saporta Cup Final during his time at Efes Pilsen.
When Korac Cup, Turkey’s first European Cup on a club basis, was won, he was the captain of the team. Oyguc, who transferred to Besiktas in the 1988 season, completed the season at Fenerbahce Sports Club in mid-season as an exchange with Levent Topsakal.
Oyguc, who went into the military to perform his military service in 1999, got the 2nd League championship with Karagucu team and became the 4th in the World at the Military Olympics held in Lebanon. After completing his military service, he played for Besiktas in the 2000 season, Galatasaray in 2001 and 2002, and stopped playing basketball at the end of the season to continue his career as a manager at this club.
During his basketball career, he wore the national team uniform 223 times including the military national team by being the captain of the young, junior and A national teams.
In 2007, he returned to Efes Pilsen as a coach and worked as a coach in the 2nd League with the young team, junior team and the pilot team of Efes Pilsen, Pertevniyal, respectively. Later, he became an administrative manager in charge of youth setup.
